In a city where stories often go untold, Rychard V made it his mission to be where they are happening.
As the creator behind On the Seen TV, Rychard is more than a content creator—he is a community amplifier, cultural narrator and a consistent champion of local, especially Black-owned, businesses. What started with a $100 investment and a few Amazon microphones has grown into a platform rooted in presence, purpose and impact.
From $100 to a Movement
Rychard’s journey did not begin with a full setup or team—it started with belief.
Encouraged by his brothers and collaborating early with another creator, Boo Money, he stepped into street interviews ahead of a trip to Las Vegas. With $100 from his younger brother, he purchased basic equipment and began experimenting with content.
In Las Vegas, the concept came together.
After witnessing a fight, Rychard envisioned a “hood news” format—always on the Seen, always with a witness and always telling the story. That moment became the foundation for On the Seen TV, a platform built on documenting real-life moments with humor, energy and authenticity.
Early success came quickly, followed by challenges. A split with his collaborator forced him to rebuild the brand independently. It was not until he began covering Indiana Pacers games—combining interviews with his signature storytelling style—that his content found its rhythm. From there, the growth continued.
More Than Content—It’s Community Work
At its core, On the Seen TV is about visibility.
Rychard intentionally highlights businesses and communities often overlooked by traditional media, with a strong focus on Black-owned spaces. What began as food reviews quickly evolved into something more. Business owners began reaching out, asking him to feature their spaces—and when he did, the results were tangible.
“In order for us to push us, we got to push so much positivity… if we can share, if everyone can share great things about businesses, and it moves through the internet… when it comes to us as a community, we got to push better. We got to push more positivity, especially to the businesses that we love to support.”
For Rychard, success is not measured in views, but in real-world outcomes—people showing up, spending money and supporting local businesses.
Shifting the Narrative
Rychard is also intentional about how stories are told.
He highlights how negative incidents at Black-owned establishments often spread quickly online, while similar situations elsewhere receive less attention. His approach is to shift that pattern—encouraging the community to amplify positive experiences instead.
“Facebook is literally our Channel 8, our Wish, our Fox 59, our WTHR—and we gotta push better.”
For him, storytelling is not just about capturing moments—it is about responsibility and impact.
A Bigger Vision With Local Roots
Rychard’s vision extends beyond Indianapolis.
He aims to grow his platform nationally, not for recognition alone, but to create greater opportunities for his city. With a broader audience, he believes he can drive even more support back to local businesses and communities.
“I care about the videos, but I care about the impact. If we got like 13,000 views, cool. —but if you got 100 customers that day, I’m good.”
His goal is simple: build influence that can be used to mobilize and uplift.
How to Support the Movement
Supporting Rychard V and On the Seen TV requires more than engagement, it requires action.
Follow, like and share his content, especially posts that highlight local businesses and community stories. Show up in real life, visit the places he features, spend money there and tell others about them. For businesses and organizations, collaboration is key. Partnering with him for events, campaigns or content helps sustain his work while expanding community impact. Equally important is protecting the narrative. Avoid amplifying negativity about Black-owned spaces. Instead, share positive experiences and contribute to a culture of support and accountability.
Why His Story Matters
Rychard V’s journey reflects the power of consistency, intention and belief.
He started with $100 and an idea.He built a platform rooted in community. He turned content into connection—and connection into impact. Today, his work represents more than a brand. It is a growing pipeline for visibility, support and opportunity for the people and businesses that shape Indianapolis.
"One message I want to leave with the community is, be yourself. Don't let society tell you who you are, because once you find out who you are, can't nobody take that from you. The life lessons that you had to learn to become who you are, can't nobody take that from you. That's yours… Don't worry about what the naysayers are gonna say, because they're gonna say it anyway. Your job is to be the best you. They talked about Jesus, so they gonna definitely talk about you, for sure."
And most importantly, he continues to do exactly what his platform promises:
He stays on the Seen.
