Welcome to Indy Pulse: Telling the Real Stories of Indianapolis

There’s something special about Indianapolis. It’s not just the skyline, the events, or the growth, it’s the people. The culture. The stories that live in every corner of this city. That’s exactly why I created Indy Pulse.

Indy Pulse is a community-driven media platform built to highlight the real pulse of Indianapolis, through storytelling that is intentional, ethical, and rooted in truth.

As someone with a background in journalism, I understand that storytelling comes with responsibility. It’s not just about sharing what’s happening, it’s about sharing it the right way.

That means committing to the Four C’s of journalism:

  • Clear – making information easy to understand

  • Concise – delivering value without unnecessary noise

  • Complete – providing full context, not just fragments

  • Correct – ensuring accuracy through facts, data, and evidence

These are standards I will never stray from.

But Indy Pulse is more than just a platform, it’s a space for the community, by the community.

I created this because I wanted people to have a place to:

  • Tell their stories

  • Share their work and impact

  • Highlight initiatives—both new and longstanding

  • Learn more about the people and history shaping Indianapolis

There are so many things happening around us, businesses opening, programs launching, communities building safe and inclusive spaces—and sometimes, we only see the surface.

Indy Pulse is here to go deeper.

To ask questions. To explore context. To amplify stories that deserve to be heard organically and with intention.

This is also personal for me. I genuinely enjoy storytelling. I enjoy learning about the history of Indianapolis and the people who have helped shape it into what it is today, something meaningful, something evolving, something powerful. Indy Pulse is my way of combining that passion with purpose.

You can expect coverage that highlights:

  • Community initiatives and resources

  • Local businesses and creatives

  • Education and policy conversations

  • Events, culture, and experiences

  • Real people doing impactful work

Most importantly, you can expect non-biased, fact-based storytelling that allows you, as a reader, to make informed decisions about how you engage with and support your community.

At the end of the day, this isn’t just about content. It's about connection. It’s about awareness. It’s about intention. Indy Pulse is for the community, by the community. And this is just the beginning.
